Wilderness Youth Project is a local nonprofit with a mission to connect kids with nature and promote confidence, health, and a lifelong love of learning through outdoor exploration, mentorship, and play-based learning. WYP has been helping families connect to nature since in 1999, serving 1200 + kids each year through their various Summer and after school programs. Kids ages 2.5 to 17 are welcome to join Wilderness Youth Project, where they are placed in groups with skilled and inspired mentors and volunteers, maintaining a 4:1 mentor ratio to ensure meaningful connections and growth for each child. WYP looks forward to continuing to teach the next generation of children to be peaceful, respectful, and confident stewards of our word.
