A brand new exhibit is coming to the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum! Starting January 22nd through March 29th 2026, the Where the Mountains Meet the Sea exhibit will showcase beautiful landscape paintings, celebrating the dramatic meeting of the coastline and mountains with vibrant coastal scenes. The exhibit will feature work from 12 predominantly Santa Barbara-based artists, including Nancy Davidson, Rick Delanty, Camille Dellar, Thomas Van Stein and more.
Opened in 2000, the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum is an interactive museum where visitors can experience the rich and diverse maritime culture and history of the Santa Barbara Channel. Some other exhibits you can look forward to viewing at the museum are Whales are Superheroes, The Chumash Tomol Plank Canoe, and Surfing History.
The museum is located in the Waterfront Center building in the Santa Barbara Harbor. Open daily from 10am to 5pm. Learn more here.
