The Teachers Fund is a local nonprofit dedicated to helping Santa Barbara County teachers obtain the supplies, materials, and equipment they need to support their classrooms and students. Founded in 2002 by Rene Grubb, owner of Village Properties, the organization has provided more than 2 million to local public and private school teachers throughout Santa Barbara County. Today, 100% of donations go directly toward classroom and student needs.
This year's Teachers Fund School Supplies Drive is centered around the theme “Painting a brighter Future for Our Classrooms,” encouraging the community to help local teachers provide students with the resources they need to learn, create, and explore. There are several ways to participate, including sponsorship opportunities ranging from $300 to $10,000, individual event tickets, and custom donations. Sponsorship levels also offer varying opportunities for recognition at the end, on promotional materials, and through social media.
The drive will culminate with a Donor Celebration on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 4:30-7:00 PM at the Village Properties Courtyard at 1436 State Street in Santa Barbara. Guests can enjoy the Lucca Pizza Truck, A La Carte Ice Cream Truck, The Bottega Bar, live music, a silent auction, and an FSU events photobooth. The DK Group is proud to support Teachers Fund and its continued work helping educators throughout our community. Supporting the school supplies drive is an opportunity to give teachers the tools they need while making a direct impact on local students and classrooms.
