Seeking to create a community center and hub for his business, Louis Force Torres founded Lantern Tree Books in Downtown Carpinteria. The store began as an old restaurant and was transformed into a charming indie bookstore, offering a wide selection of books (new, old, and rare) that reflect the interests and perspectives of the Carpinteria community. Lantern Tree Books aims to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for book lovers, offering a space for readers to shop, browse, read, and partake in community events.
