Fran Lebowitz to speak on Saturday 1/25 at UCSB's Campbell Hall
Fran Lebowitz: Join humorist and New York icon Fran Lebowitz for an unforgettable evening on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at UCSB Campbell Hall. Known for her sharp tongue, quick wit, and unapologetically opinionated style, Lebowitz captivates with her dry social commentary on American life. Books will be available for purchase and signing courtesy of Chaucer’s Books.
Wild Life Screening: A free screening of Wild Life, a documentary following conservationist Kristine McDivitt Tompkins and entrepreneur Doug Tomkins, founder of Northface, as they work to create national parks in Chile and Argentina to preseerve one of the last wild places on Earth.
Danish String Quartet: The widely acclaimed Nordic musical group offers an unforgettable evening of music from classics like Mozart to Irish melodies, and nordic folk tunes.
Cirque Kalabanté: Created by Guinean artist and former Cirque du Soleil performer, Yamoussa Bangoura puts on a magical circus performance showcasing acrobats, agility, costumes, and music the whole family can enjoy.
