Happy Fourth of July! If you are looking for a fun way to spend the holiday, we are excited to share a few local family friendly events to celebrate Independence day, from live music to food & drinks, and of course- fireworks! Check out the full Fourth of July guide below.
West Beach: The Santa Barbara Waterfront and Parks and Recreation Departments will be hosting several fun-filled activities open to the public. Enjoy Live music at the West Beach Bandstand all day, including performances from local bands like The Goodlands and East Valley Road. At 9PM, a dazzling 20-minute fireworks display presented by Garden State Fireworks will conclude the Fourth of July festivities.
Cabrillo Boulevard Sidewalk at West Beach: From 11AM - 9PM, Cabrillo Boulevard will be full of sidewalk vendors offering food, beverages, and festive gifts. Vendors will include Tink's Old Fashioned Hot Dogs, Lidos Philly Cheese Steaks, Timbers Roadhouse and more!
Drone Light Show: The City of Goleta will be hosting it's very first Fourth of July Drone Light Show! The free event will take place at the Dos Pueblos High School football stadium. Gates open at 6PM, and the event will include food trucks, a DJ, line dancing, family friendly games & activities, a photo booth and more. The 15 minute drone show will occur at nightfall around 8:30PM.
4th of July Concert: The Pierre Claeyssens Veterans Foundation invites you to enjoy live music at the Court House Sunken Gardens with the PrimeTime Band! The 80 member band will perform several patriotic classics starting at 5PM. Be sure to bring your beach chairs and blankets to best enjoy the free event!
July 5th Beach Cleanup: After the Fourth of July festivities, the beaches will be covered in litter and garbage. This year, the city will partner up with Santa Barbara Channelkeeper to host beach cleanups where you can help pick up litter to keep our beaches clean and ensure trash does not make its way to the ocean. Cleanups will take place at Leadbetter Beach, East Beach, and West Beach from 9-11AM. Gloves and buckets will be provided for all volunteers. Click here to register!
