For a more hands-on activity, check out the workshops and community programs offered by Explore Ecology’s EE Makerspace in downtown Santa Barbara.
Located above the Art From Scrap Creative Reuse Store, the Makerspace is designed around creativity, sustainability, and giving materials a second life. Programming includes kids’ Crafternoons as well as rotating adult workshops and classes in activities such as sewing, mending, dyeing, collage, beach cleanups, and other creative reuse projects.
It’s a great opportunity to try something new, spend time creating with friends or family, and support a local organization focused on environmental education and sustainability.
