The Santa Barbara Triathlon & Beach Festival returns on Saturday, August 29th, 2026, bringing athletes and spectators together for one of Santa Barbara's most iconic coastal sports events. Established in 1981, the Santa Barbara Triathlon is one of the longest-running triathlons in the world, and it's known for its beautiful oceanfront setting, challenging courses, and lively finish-line atmosphere.
Taking place at East Beach and the Cabrillo Bathhouse, the event begins along the shores of the Pacific Ocean with views of the Channel Islands before athletes head out on bike courses framed by the Santa Ynez Mountains. Participants then finish along Santa Barbara beachfront, where music, refreshments and plenty of finish-line energy await.
The 2026 event offers several race options for different experience levels, including the SB 45 triathlon, SB 35 aquabike, SB 25 triathlon, SB 10 triathlon, and a one-mile ocean swim. Whether you're an experienced triathlete, trying a shorter distance event, or simply coming out to cheer on participants, there are plenty of ways to be part of the day. We're especially excited to cheer on our very own DK Group Realtor Devin Wong, who will be participating in this year's event! We're proud to support Devin as he takes on the Santa Barbara triathlon and joins athletes throughout the community for an unforgettable day along the coast.
