This weekend the Santa Barbara community is invited to celebrate the start of the Lunar New Year with the Santa Barbara Public Library’s Lunar New Year Family Festival! The lively festival hosted by the Santa Barbara Chinese School, the Santa Barbara Public Library, and other local partners invites people of all ages to celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse with free activities, hands-on crafts, snacks, photo booths, festive prizes, a Chinese book exchange, and a library scavengers hunt. Attendees can also enjoy musical performances by local students and food tasting from small businesses, ready to share the flavors and traditions of the holiday.
The Lunary New Year Event is a free event held at the Michael Towbes Library Plaza, in front of the Santa Barbara Public Library, on Sunday February 22, from 1pm - 4pm. Learn more here!
