Santa Barbara's Earth Day Festival at Alameda Park
Earth Day Festival returns this weekend, April 25–26, at Alameda Park for its 56th year of celebrating our planet. Earth Day has deep roots in our community, having been developed in response to a Santa Barbara oil spill in 1969. Local community activists mobilized to create environmental regulation, promote education, and eventually start the first Earth Day in 1970. Santa Barbara is now home to one of the largest Earth Day events on the West Coast, with a free two-day festival featuring live music on two stages, an eco marketplace, a plant-forward food court, kid's activities, and the country's longest-running Green Car Show.
2026 Earth Day Festival Events & Attractions:
Music & Entertainment: Listen to live music across two stages, featuring Spencer the Gardener, False Puppet, and more.
Public Square & Eco Marketplace: Browse several booths to learn about local nonprofits or shop for eco friendly products
Plant-Forward Food Court & Beer Garden: Enjoy farm-to-table meals and local beer & wine.
Kid's Corner: Take the kiddos to kid-friendly exhibitors + a special kid's stage with performers
Green Car Show: Showcasing the largest collection of clean vehicles and new mobility solutions.
