Festival Lineup
Carpinteria’s annual Avocado Festival is returning this weekend, October 4th through October 6th! The California Avocado Festival began in 1986 to benefit local fundraising efforts, non profit groups, and tourism. Santa Barbara county is the third largest avocado producer in North America, so the festival was named after the avocado to celebrate Carpinteria’s major contribution to the industry. The festival has since evolved into one of the largest in California, with three days of delicious food, great music, and family friendly fun!
Here’s what to expect at this year’s Avocado Festival!
- Live music and performances at one of the many stages
- Over 75 commercial, food, and Arts & Crafts Vendors
- Youth area and stage, including a kids dance party
- Food court, with meals featuring the diverse California avocado
- Fun contests, like the Guacamole and Strong Arm Contests
